Overview
A water and wastewater treatment design firm is seeking a Water Resources Design Engineer to join its Water Resources Department. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to municipal water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects, working closely with senior staff and project teams while reporting to the VP of Water Resources.
What you'll do
- Work with a team in the development and delivery of water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects, including hydraulic and process evaluations, detailed design, and construction administration
- Prepare reports and findings, design plans and specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents
- Monitor and document project progress
- Provide support to project bidding
- Handle multiple projects at once
- Participate in client meetings and field visits/services
Required qualifications
- BS in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of Water Resources Engineering experience
- Experience with AutoCAD, Excel, and Project
- Prior experience with municipal water and wastewater treatment
- Well organized with strong communication skills, both intercompany and with clients
- Ability to immediately contribute effectively to water resources design projects with a high degree of independence, while collaborating closely with senior staff and project teams as needed
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for client meetings and field visits
- Must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree is a plus (not required)
- PE license is a plus (not required)
- Positive and upbeat attitude with a willingness to collaborate and grow knowledge and career
Compensation and benefits
- Salary of $100,000 - $125,000 DOE
