Overview

An established manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer to join its machining team. This role is central to producing precision parts that meet exact customer specifications, and offers the chance to apply deep programming and machining expertise in a fast-paced production environment.

What you'll do

• Program CNC lathe operations using Mastercam
• Program with live tooling, set up, and operate a variety of CNC lathe machines and equipment
• Machine parts according to customer-stated specifications
• Ensure parts are machined to customer specifications
• Verify machine settings by measuring positions and first-run parts
• Inspect and measure machined parts to confirm blueprint specifications are met
• Monitor dimensions and make adjustments as needed to maintain tolerances
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs as required
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times
• Comply with all company processes, procedures, quality directives, and safety procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years programming, set-up, and operating experience in CNC Lathe
• Ability to program using Mastercam
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers
• Ability to set up and make edits
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read and understand CNC programming to verify parts are machined to meet requirements
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
