Swiss CNC Applications Engineer – CNC Machining

Overview
An established machine tool manufacturer is seeking a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer to support customers through turnkey project delivery, pre-sale evaluations, and hands-on training on advanced CNC machining equipment. This role is critical to ensuring customers can safely and efficiently operate complex Swiss-style and multi-tasking machines.
What you'll do
- Run turnkey projects, demonstrations, and other customer-related projects to ensure completion on time and within budget
- Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment and recommendations, part processing recommendations, and development of turnkey proposals
- Develop and implement custom demonstrations and train customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines
- Conduct training of customers in the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes, and/or multi-tasking machines
- Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications
- Travel to customer sites for on-site training and engineering assistance
Required qualifications
- Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool related engineering and manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and relevant product lines
- Knowledge of Fanuc based controls
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and conversational programming
- Ability to think quickly, assess situations, and make sound decisions
Preferred qualifications
- 5-axis experience is a plus
