Overview

An established food manufacturing company is seeking a Production Supervisor to join its manufacturing team, supporting the Director of Operations and Production Manager. This role is key to keeping production running smoothly, safely, and to a high quality standard, while leading and developing frontline staff.

What you'll do

• Complete the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring schedules, resolving problems, and reporting shift production results
• Communicate job expectations, and plan, monitor, and appraise results; coach, counsel, and discipline employees as needed
• Select, orient, and train employees, and support their personal growth and development
• Maintain workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, implementing cost reductions, and developing reporting procedures and systems
• Facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points and foster cooperation within and between departments
• Spend 50% of time performing direct labor within the area of responsibility
• Identify and anticipate safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions
• Act as quality inspector for the area of responsibility, establishing and enforcing organizational quality standards
• Ensure direct and indirect materials are available so production team members can work efficiently
• Compile, sort, and analyze production performance records and data, and respond to related questions and requests
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contribute to overall team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing
• 3+ years of Supervisory experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead and generate results through others
• Ability to perform problem analysis and resolution at a functional level
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and to safety
• Valid driver's license required
• Strong customer orientation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Basic computer skills with understanding of Microsoft products

• Salary range of $75,000-$88,000
