Operations Training Coordinator – GMP

Overview
An established manufacturer operating in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulated environment is seeking an Operations Training Coordinator. This role works directly with GMP-facing functions—including Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, and Supply Chain—to ensure training compliance for new hires and existing employees, administering and maintaining training programs that meet performance and regulatory expectations.
What you'll do
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all Operations and GMP-related On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs
- Partner with OJT trainers and supervisors to ensure training records are completed accurately following good documentation practices (GDPs)
- Help lead teams in developing and updating OJT training modules, plans, and programs
- Coordinate and communicate training schedules for GMP-facing new hires and OJT trainers
- Monitor and communicate training requirements for Operations and GMP personnel
- Conduct OJT training in compliance with company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
- Notify designated personnel of irregularities in materials, processes, or equipment requiring training material updates
- Facilitate creation and updates of OJT training materials alongside trainers
- Assist document/process owners in updating and maintaining SOPs and work instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve Operations and GMP training-related issues
- Collaborate with Operations management to identify preventive or remedial training needs
- Support coordination and facilitation of new employee orientation, yearly cGMP sessions, and other training events
- Assist with department responsibilities such as learning week, newsletters, and training contests
- Stay current on operations and safety issues, providing training support as needed
- Perform daily administrative duties including processing training forms, creating surveys, and managing employee profiles, training items, curriculums, groups, assignments, and records
- Monitor training status and metrics in the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure compliance and on-time completions
- Manage the monthly Operations metric report and other reporting as needed
- Assist employees with LMS access to complete training
- Create job aids and basic to intermediate training materials as needed
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within operations
- Support additional efforts such as investigations, safety program training improvements, and cross-training
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, or food industry
- Basic knowledge of cGMP regulations and experience working in a cGMP environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks/projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competency in MS Office suite
- Ability to effectively communicate across departments and work well within a team
- Ability to facilitate training to large groups
- Proven work experience in Operations, Operations support, or a similar role
Preferred qualifications
- Experience preferably in QA or Training
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, training, communications, business, or a related field preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of databases and LMS experience desired
