A major manufacturer in the greater Morristown, TN area is seeking a Department Production Manager to lead a high-volume production area operating 3-shifts. This hands-on leadership role oversees Production Supervisors and nearly 100 hourly employees, playing a key part in driving process improvements and supporting business growth.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage Production Supervisors overseeing nearly 100 hourly employees
- Drive improvements in processes across a high-volume production area operating 3-shifts
- Resolve production issues as they arise on the floor
- Ensure safety, quality, and delivery goals are consistently met
- Spend significant time on the production floor providing hands-on leadership
- Support efforts to bring on new customers by positively influencing departmental performance
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years experience in Manager or Supervisor level positions
- Solid understanding of high-volume production
- Strong leadership skills
- Energetic demeanor
