This direct-hire role offers a high-autonomy environment supporting a modern production floor with 45+ production presses, ideal for a technician who thrives on variety and takes pride in keeping equipment running reliably.

What you'll do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, safely isolating electrical faults up to 480V 3-phase networks
  • Execute preventative maintenance routines across production equipment, including lubrication, thermocouple testing, and heating element optimization
  • Rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic valves, replace relays and switches, and complete general facility upkeep projects
  • Dismantle malfunctioning equipment using overhead cranes, hoists, and hand tools to repair internal components, then reassemble and verify operational efficiency
  • Partner with plant management and engineering teams to manage assets, minimize downtime, and coordinate new equipment installations
  • Document maintenance data accurately, tracking repair histories, spare part usage, and equipment diagnostics within facility systems

Required qualifications

  • 2+ years of industrial electro-mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or custom job-shop setting
  • Hands-on ability to read electrical and fluid power schematics, and diagnose low-voltage sensors, SSR relays, 3-phase motors (AC/DC motors), hydraulic pumps, and basic PLC architectures
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot faults without close supervision, and think critically on the shop floor
  • Strong attendance history, personal accountability, and a safety-first mindset
  • Residency within comfortable commuting distance of the Two Rivers / Manitowoc / I-43 area

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience maintaining hydraulic injection molding presses, compression molding equipment, or thermoforming machinery
  • Basic shop machining skills, including manual lathes, knee mills, surface grinders, or welding for quick fixture repairs
  • Familiarity with PLC software (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) to trace I/O signals and isolate failed field inputs

Compensation and benefits

  • Up to $32.00/Hour baseline pay rate
  • Tuition reimbursement program
  • Health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits
  • Fixed 4-Day Work Week, Monday – Thursday (6:00 AM – 4:00 PM), with guaranteed 3-day weekends and occasional Friday overtime (about once a month)

Why this role

This is a stable, high-autonomy maintenance career with a company known for long-term employee tenure and continuous reinvestment in modern plant machinery, offering technical variety across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
