Overview

A pharmaceutical research organization is expanding its CNS research capabilities and is seeking a Senior Scientist in Translational Neuroscience to investigate neurotransmitters, novel compounds, and large molecules within the central nervous system. This role is central to advancing preclinical drug discovery efforts through expert application of microdialysis techniques.

What you'll do

• Design and develop experiments incorporating microdialysis techniques with pharmaceutical agents and genetic manipulations
• Execute and direct studies, including surgeries, dosing, and coordination with the bioanalytical team
• Collaborate with management to write study plans and reports, clearly communicating data collection and analysis processes
• Liaise with external partners on study design and data reporting
• Maintain and troubleshoot experimental equipment

Required qualifications

• PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or similar field
• 3+ years of demonstrated microdialysis experience
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple responsibilities and priorities
• Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Preferred qualifications

• Additional experience in histology, pain, sleep, or surgeries
• Drug discovery experience preferred
• Management experience preferred
• Programming experience preferred
