Sales Engineer (Fully Remote) – Heat Exchangers

Overview
A 100% employee-owned manufacturer specializing in custom-designed capital equipment for high-temperature and corrosive industrial applications—such as Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, and Catalyst Baskets—is seeking a fully remote Sales Engineer based in the South Central portion of the U.S. This role drives revenue growth by managing relationships with nitric acid producers globally, expanding the client base within the assigned geography, and providing technical expertise in high-performance alloys. The company's collaborative culture rewards results through a profit-sharing program.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence within the nitric acid industry and assigned geography
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant engineers, project managers, and procurement specialists
- Apply deep understanding of alloy materials, corrosion resistance, and industry-specific challenges to provide technical solutions
- Guide clients through the company's product offerings, demonstrating solution benefits for their applications
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering, product development, and production teams to align customer needs with production capabilities and schedules
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, or a related technical field
- 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering
- Proven success in a sales role with experience in solution-based and consultative sales
- Strong understanding of the nitric acid industry and applications of high-performance alloys
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to travel within North America and globally when required
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in the chemical, nitric acid, or metals/alloys industries preferred
