Overview
A leading global manufacturer of sensor technologies, backed by a multi-billion-dollar parent organization, is seeking a Director / Manager of Development Engineering for sensors to lead the design and development of next-generation sensor products serving automotive, commercial vehicle, off road, industrial, and adjacent markets. This role offers the opportunity to guide multidisciplinary engineering teams across the U.S. and globally in building innovative electronic-based products.
What you'll do
- Lead the development of sensor products for U.S. and global markets
- Oversee the creation of electronic-based products incorporating embedded microcontrollers, sensors, and firmware
- Direct multidisciplinary engineering teams spanning electrical, firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering disciplines
- Manage engineering groups both domestically and internationally
Required qualifications
- Experience as a Director / Manager of Development Engineering for sensors
- Background applying sensor technology across diverse markets such as automotive, commercial vehicle, off road, industrial, or adjacent industries
- Proven experience managing engineering groups both in the U.S. and globally
Compensation and benefits
- 25% bonus
- Relocation cost can be provided for candidates outside a 100 mile radius of Chicago; no relocation required for those living within that radius
