Overview
A growing precision aerospace manufacturer known for innovation and high-quality production is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead its engineering team. This leadership role is central to driving operational excellence, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring the company continues to meet the industry's most demanding standards.
What you'll do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers
- Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and production processes
- Estimate production times, labor requirements, equipment needs, and manufacturing costs
- Create and maintain CAD models and manufacturing documentation using CATIA V5 or similar CAD software
- Generate engineering drawings and product structures that accurately reflect customer requirements
- Establish manufacturing tolerances and process documentation
- Support production and subcontractors with engineering solutions and technical guidance
- Coordinate engineering priorities with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction
- Resolve manufacturing challenges through analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred (Associate's Degree considered with relevant experience)
- Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with CATIA V5
- Epicor ERP experience
- Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen implementation experience
- Strong CAD and technical documentation skills
- Continuous Improvement mindset
