Overview
An established manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist to join its production team. This role is key to maintaining precision machining standards and supporting the company's manufacturing output on a temp-to-hire basis.
What you'll do
- Read and study blueprints and customer specifications to perform setup, operation, and adjustment of CNC Star Swiss Lathes
- Perform inspections of self-machined parts, including first piece and in-process inspections
- Inspect produced parts using gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Change offsets and tools, perform G-Code edits, and carry out preventative maintenance of machines
- Set up machines to achieve their full operating capabilities
Required qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant machining experience
- 2 Years: Setup Experience
- 2 Years: Swiss Lathe Machines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred qualifications
- Aerospace experience preferred
- G-Code edit experience is a plus
- Tool making experience preferred
