Overview

A premier regional healthcare facility located in Mattoon, Illinois is seeking a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Traditional OB-GYN to join its expansive women's health team. This role offers the chance to build a high-earning practice with strong production upside while working alongside an established OB-Hospitalist program, a dedicated midwife, and experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

What you'll do

  • Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to a diverse patient population in a local Mattoon practice setting
  • Utilize the hospital's Level 1 nursery facility, focusing on low-to-moderate risk presentations and stabilizing/transferring complex, high-risk maternal-fetal cases to tertiary care partners
  • Manage a light call rotation of approximately 2 to 4 days per month, coordinating with a 3-physician OB-Hospitalist team that handles the majority of primary facility call coverage
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary women's health framework including physicians, APPs, and an on-site midwife
  • Practice in alignment with facility medical guidelines, utilizing regional networks for specialized, medically necessary complex care and elective transfers
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for outpatient visits, surgical cases, and deliveries

Required qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Successful completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain)
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset for collaborating with hospitalists and mid-level providers

Compensation and benefits

  • $500,000 per year base compensation
  • High-upside earning potential through production bonuses paid on RVU output exceeding the base guarantee
  • Eligible for an annual quality incentive up to 10% of your base salary (capped at $50,000) once your practice is fully established
