Location: Big Bend, WI area | Schedule: Full-Time / Direct Hire, on-site, weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Compensation: Up to $33.00/hr plus weekend shift premium (over $33,000 annualized)

Overview

A growing, high-tech precision manufacturer supplying the aerospace, defense, and medical markets is seeking a Precision CNC Setup Machinist to join its climate-controlled, ultra-clean, and modern 5S facility in the Big Bend, WI area. This direct-hire role offers a unique 3-day weekend schedule, allowing employees to earn full 40-hour pay for 36 hours worked while enjoying four consecutive days off each week and a stable, non-micromanaged work environment.

What you'll do

• Execute complete, independent setups and operation on CNC mills and turning centers for complex precision components
• Monitor tool wear, adjust tool page offsets, establish work holding, and maintain tight dimensional tolerances
• Perform first-piece and in-process quality inspections using precision measuring hand tools, custom gauges, and inspection gear
• Investigate and resolve setup deviations or mechanical issues to maintain consistent weekend production workflow
• Interpret complex engineering blueprints, apply G&M code adjustments, and strictly follow GD&T requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and 5S-compliant machining station

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience with at least 1 year of independent setups on CNC mills or lathes
• Strong technical literacy in reading engineering blueprints, interpreting G&M codes, and applying GD&T concepts
• Dedicated lifestyle alignment and reliability for the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) schedule
• Solid work history demonstrating long-term tenure, attendance, and personal accountability
• U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within daily driving distance of the Big Bend, WI area

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience machining close-tolerance components for aerospace, defense, or medical device applications
• Setup experience on multi-axis milling centers or live-tooling turning centers
• Technical diploma, CNC machining certificate, or formal apprenticeship completion

Compensation and benefits

• Base pay up to $33.00/hr based on setup depth, equivalent to more than $33,000 per year at full-time hours
• Weekend shift premium
• Full 40-hour pay for 36 hours worked
