An established engineering firm serving commercial, institutional, and government clients in the Baltimore, MD area is seeking a licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer to take the lead on HVAC and plumbing system projects. The position blends hands-on technical design with project leadership, client-facing responsibilities, and mentorship of junior staff, making it a key role in the firm's continued growth in the region.
What you'll do
- Lead mechanical design efforts from initial concept through construction completion
- Coordinate budgets, schedules, and cross-disciplinary teams to keep projects on track
- Drive proposal development and contribute to business development initiatives
- Guide and mentor junior engineers to support their professional growth
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- PE license required
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and load calculation software
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Strong project management, communication, and client service skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
