Location: Oakland, CA | Schedule: Full-time, field-based/mobile

Overview

An established, long-operating industrial hardware distributor is seeking a Territory Manager to run a fully stocked mobile store, bringing industrial hardware products and service directly to customers across a range of sectors including transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment. This sales role is key to growing and maintaining a defined territory through direct, in-person customer engagement.

What you'll do

• Prospect and develop new sales leads through research, referrals, and calls on businesses near existing customers
• Make face-to-face cold and warm sales calls
• Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store
• Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of the mobile store
• Submit complete and accurate daily business reports on sales orders and prospect calls
• Maintain accurate customer contact information, notes, and records using company software

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must reside within the assigned territory; relocation is not available
• Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle
• Must maintain a clean driving history
• Physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis
• Strong, tenured work background with no job hopping; ideally a maximum of 3 companies over the past 10 years
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment

Preferred qualifications

• Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales, is preferred
