Overview
A well-established general contractor serving the Florida Gulf Coast is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead roadway, utility, and transportation infrastructure projects across the Sarasota, Bradenton, and Lakewood Ranch corridor, one of the fastest-growing regions in the country. The role involves FDOT-style work including roadway widening and reconstruction, utility relocation and upgrades, water, wastewater and stormwater systems, complete streets, intersections and signalization, delivered through CMAR and design build methods. This is a direct-hire, confidential search opportunity offering real authority and strong organizational support.
What you'll do
- Own full lifecycle project delivery from planning and preconstruction through construction and closeout
- Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans
- Coordinate utility relocation across water, sewer, stormwater, gas, electric, and telecom
- Direct consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and inspection teams
- Administer change orders, pay applications, claims, and contract documentation
- Manage relationships with FDOT, municipalities, counties, and utility owners
Required qualifications
- 7 to 10+ years managing large infrastructure, roadway, utility, or transportation projects
- Working command of FDOT standards, specifications, and permitting
- Strong grounding in MOT, drainage, earthwork, paving, and bridge coordination
- Experience with GMP, design build, or CMAR delivery methods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, plus Bluebeam
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
Preferred qualifications
- FDOT Advanced MOT certification
- PMP certification
- Experience working directly with municipalities, counties, and state transportation agencies
Compensation and benefits
