Overview

A home health agency serving the Austin, TX metro area is seeking a Clinical Director to lead its nursing operations. This registered nurse will guide clinical strategy, uphold quality and regulatory standards, and ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care in the home setting.

What you'll do

  • Direct and coordinate all clinical functions and supervise clinical staff
  • Plan, develop, and drive strategy for the nursing division, setting standards for quality care and organizational performance
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state home health regulations, including Conditions of Participation, and prepare the agency for licensure audits and surveys
  • Monitor the QAPI Program and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken
  • Identify problem areas within systems and report findings to the Administrator both verbally and in writing
  • Promote infection control and universal precaution practices across patient care activities
  • Hire, manage, mentor, and retain qualified clinical staff; conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and training
  • Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to support staff collaboration and achieve desired outcomes
  • Coordinate closely with the Manager of Intake/Authorization to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain mandatory continuing education requirements set by the agency and licensing board

Required qualifications

  • 2-5 years of management experience in Home Health
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice nursing in the state of Texas
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Experience with OASIS and QAPI
  • Strong Medicare background (Adult)
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong leadership skills; solutions-oriented, adaptive, and a change agent
  • Passion for team building, teaching, supporting, and guiding staff

Preferred qualifications

  • BSN preferred
