Overview

A respected regional healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine physician to join its expanding medical team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-acuity, comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services to a diverse patient population in a modern hospital environment with strong referral relationships.

What you'll do

  • Manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting
  • Evaluate and treat complex pulmonary disorders
  • Address conditions such as respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and pneumonia
  • Conduct ICU consultations and collaborate with hospitalists and specialists
  • Provide evaluations and follow-up care in the pulmonary clinic
  • Perform procedures including bronchoscopy and other critical care interventions
  • Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
  • Mentor residents and medical students
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Required qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Alabama
  • Strong clinical and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
