Location: Omaha, NE | Schedule: Full-time | Compensation: $75,000-$95,000 plus bonus
Overview
An established company in the construction and manufacturing space is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of customer projects. This role coordinates across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, service/installation, and accounting to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain project schedules identifying deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation
- Perform contract review and negotiation alongside Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Market Development Managers
- Manage contracts throughout the course of a project
- Provide project updates regarding schedule and budget to the PMO and executive management
- Compare and report variances between project progress and schedule/budget baselines
- Prepare and deliver formal project documentation in coordination with Engineering and other relevant departments
- Ensure proper organization of documentation and account activities per PMO standards
- Visit customers as needed for negotiations, project kickoff, status updates, and project closeout
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with project resources to review status and upcoming work
- Create and implement new project management processes
- Coordinate with Engineering to support Project Management for internal projects
- Manage bids, including bid schedules, review meetings, and the approval process
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of project management experience
- Proven project management experience with accountability for coordinating and completing projects on time and within profitability expectations
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with excellent time management skills
- Ability to function autonomously within job responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and modifying contractual terms and conditions
- Ability to understand technical requirements related to Project Management and contractual terms
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Office 360 Suites
- Advanced knowledge of Project Management software, preferably MS Project
- Travel up to 25%, which may include international travel and occasional weekend stays as bids and projects demand
Preferred qualifications
- PMP certification is not required but would set a candidate apart from others with equal experience
- Ability to conduct business in a second language (Spanish, French, German, or Mandarin) is not required but would set a candidate apart from others with equal experience
Compensation and benefits
- $75,000-$95,000 plus bonus
