Overview
A manufacturer of medical laboratory instrumentation is seeking a Medical Technologist / Digital Solutions Engineer to serve as the technical backbone of its digital ecosystem. This role bridges biomedical engineering and IT expertise, supporting middleware, connectivity, cybersecurity, and digital workflow optimization to drive pre-sale success, seamless implementation, and long-term digital adoption for customers.
What you'll do
- Serve as the technical expert for the company's digital ecosystem, including middleware installations and configurations
- Develop best practices for middleware installations and lead rule development efforts
- Troubleshoot interface issues and resolve escalated digital/technical problems
- Partner cross-functionally with Training, Sales, Clinical Applications, Field Service, and Product Management teams
- Ensure customers are digitally enabled, digitally secure, and digitally confident
- Support digital workflow design and optimization initiatives
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Medical Technology, Information Systems, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in clinical diagnostics, middleware support, digital workflow design, technical support and/or support of digital products
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good working knowledge of Windows Server Operating Systems
- Intermediate level database administration skills
- General knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL DBMS software
- Strong understanding of network configuration, connectivity, Windows OS, database structures, virtualization, and HL7/ASTM
Preferred qualifications
- Computer network infrastructure and Windows networking skills highly preferred
