Overview
A well-established and respected company in the area is seeking an experienced Industrial HVAC Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical systems. This role suits a technician who works independently, diagnoses problems accurately, and takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work.
What you'll do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
- Service rooftop units, boilers, chillers, air handlers, pumps, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and related controls
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control-system issues
- Read wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
- Document service work, materials used, and recommended repairs
- Communicate clearly with customers, supervisors, and other trades
- Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and applicable codes
- Participate in an on-call rotation when required
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles
Required qualifications
- EPA Section 608 certification required
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work from ladders, rooftops, lifts, and confined spaces
- Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
Preferred qualifications
- Four or more years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience preferred
- Experience with industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or large commercial systems preferred
- Boiler, chiller, controls, refrigeration, or hydronics experience is a plus
- OSHA, NATE, HVAC Excellence, or manufacturer certifications are a plus
Compensation and benefits
- Compensation: $40-50/hr + OT, which can equate to roughly $40,000 to $50,000 depending on annual hours worked
