Maintenance Supervisor

Overview
A fast-growing, non-automotive manufacturer supplying essential components to industries worldwide is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a fully staffed, technical maintenance team. The facility is undergoing significant expansion, including multi-million-dollar capital projects and plant upgrades, and this role is central to keeping operations running reliably as the business scales.
What you'll do
- Manage day-to-day maintenance support operations, including creating and assigning work orders and following up on completion
- Direct, motivate, and coach maintenance staff across multiple shifts
- Comply with OSHA regulations and guidelines
- Oversee maintenance for the grounds and facilities
- Support and implement improvements throughout the plant
- Select and supervise outside contractors
- Communicate with vendors and order maintenance inventory as needed, including entering purchase orders into an ERP and/or CMMS system
- Maintain reports and communicate on the status of current and upcoming plant maintenance projects
- Provide technical support for new equipment and production issues
- Coordinate training related to maintenance and equipment safety
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues
- Perform other tasks as assigned by plant management
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least two years of similar manufacturing maintenance supervision experience
- Experience working in plastics manufacturing
- Experience overseeing a team of maintenance technicians and/or skilled trades individuals
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, etc.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience, including industrial controls, 480V, etc.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications
- Working knowledge of vibration, ultrasonic, and/or infrared analysis related to industrial maintenance
- PLC programming experience
- CMMS software experience
- Injection molding experience
- ERP systems experience
- Local candidates preferred; no relocation package is offered
