Location: Richfield, WI (up to a 30-minute commute) | Schedule: Full-Time, Direct Hire, 1st Shift / Mon-Fri (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) | Compensation: $24.00 - $30.00/hr

Overview

An established green-technology equipment manufacturer with a four-decade history of zero layoffs is hiring for a direct-hire paint shop position. The company is seeking either an Industrial Spray Painter or an Industrial Paint Shop Lead, depending on the candidate's technical finishing skills and leadership background, to help produce environmental equipment used by businesses worldwide to reduce pollution and cut energy costs.

What you'll do

  • Use pneumatic air tools, sanders, and grinders to clean and prep raw steel surfaces for maximum coating adhesion
  • Apply high-durability primers and topcoat finishes to custom metal components using industrial liquid spray equipment inside dedicated booths
  • Continuously measure and check product dimensions with a physical measuring tape to verify compliance with exact standards
  • For the Lead role: lead daily shop-floor execution, prioritize job queues, and organize team tasks to meet weekly output goals
  • For the Lead role: onboard newer painters, enforce shop safety protocols, and perform final visual quality inspections on completed assemblies
  • Perform routine booth filter changes, clean paint guns, and maintain pressure lines, pumps, and regulators

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience using industrial spray paint guns and pneumatic tools in a shop setting
  • For the Lead role: 2 to 5 years of experience leading, supervising, or directing teams in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Complete proficiency reading standard physical measuring tapes quickly and accurately down to exact fractions
  • Solid, dependable work record showing multi-year commitment and stability with previous employers
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) required
  • Must reside within a dependable 45-minute daily commute of Richfield, WI

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience calculating fluid viscosity, mixing two-part epoxies/polyurethanes, and managing pot-life limits
  • Familiarity with 5S lean organization and managing paint inventory, filters, and booth consumables
  • Ability to operate overhead bridge cranes and forklifts to position heavy steel fabrications inside paint booths safely

Compensation and benefits

  • Industrial Spray Painter pay range: $24.00 - $26.00/hr
  • Industrial Paint Shop Lead pay range: $26.00 - $30.00/hr
  • Fixed 1st shift hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
