Overview
A long-established, stable precision manufacturer in the Menomonee Falls area is entering a significant period of growth and expanding its manufacturing operations. The company is seeking CNC Setup Operators who can set up and run CNC machining centers and/or lathes, working from prints and setup information to consistently produce quality parts. This is an opportunity for experienced machinists as well as those looking to continue developing their skills.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes
- Read blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets and work instructions
- Select, install and adjust tooling
- Establish or adjust feeds, speeds and machine offsets
- Produce and inspect first pieces and monitor quality throughout the run
- Use precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues
- Make program edits or adjustments appropriate to your experience level
Required qualifications
- Solid CNC machining experience
- Ability to set up and operate CNC machining centers and/or lathes
- Ability to read blueprints, job travelers, setup sheets and work instructions
- Experience selecting, installing and adjusting tooling
- Ability to establish or adjust feeds, speeds and machine offsets
- Experience with precision measuring and inspection equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling and quality issues
