Location: Farmington, CT | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 2nd Shift (3:30pm - Midnight) | Compensation: $24-33 per hour (approximately $24,000-$33,000 annualized based on hourly rate)
Overview
An established manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join its team on a direct placement basis, working with large-part production and precision machining processes.
What you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC Machining Centers
- Perform machine adjustments and troubleshoot controllers, machines, and processes
- Work from blueprint requirements
- Select tools and set feeds and speeds
- Perform inspection of machined parts using precision hand tools
- Operate overhead cranes for large-part manufacturing
- Maintain a clean work environment and shop floor, including tools, equipment, and machines
- Re-order tools as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Required qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or Vocational School training
- 2-3 years of experience with CNC Lathe, CNC Turning, and CNC Swiss
- 2-3 years of experience with CNC Milling
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Ability to perform inspection of machined parts using precision hand tools
Compensation and benefits
- Pay range of $24-33 per hour
- Approximate annualized range of $24,000-$33,000 based on hourly rate
