Overview
An established manufacturer in the Binghamton, NY area is seeking a Vice President of Operations to elevate productivity, strengthen accountability, and improve operational performance while preserving the systems that have made the business successful. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving performance across the entire operation.
What you'll do
- Lead daily operations across engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, scheduling, logistics, and HR
- Improve productivity, equipment uptime, labor efficiency, and overall operational performance
- Drive accountability, develop leaders, and build a high performance culture
- Ensure on-time delivery, quality, and customer commitments are consistently achieved
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining proven operational systems
- Oversee engineering and maintenance projects to ensure timely completion
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience
- Experience leading multiple operational functions
- Background in high mix, low volume, configure to order, or make to order manufacturing
- Strong ERP experience including production planning, scheduling, BOMs, and routings
- Proven success improving productivity, equipment uptime, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery
Preferred qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience preferred
