Overview

An established Architecture & Engineering firm in the Alpharetta area is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its building systems team. This role focuses on electrical design for a range of building projects, including K-12 schools, retail, mixed-use developments, and other commercial facilities, working closely with architects and engineers across disciplines.

What you'll do

• Design building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Perform electrical load calculations, equipment selection, and building code research
• Prepare electrical drawings, specifications, and construction bid documents
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project team members to meet project requirements and deadlines
• Manage design responsibilities across multiple projects simultaneously
• Participate in occasional project-related travel, as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering
• Experience with electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred qualifications

• Experience involving building systems preferred
• Revit experience is highly preferred
