Overview

An established automotive electronics manufacturer is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design of new electronic products from RFQ proposal through full production release. This role is central to ensuring new products meet customer and industry specifications while supporting program timelines from concept to production launch.

What you'll do

• Lead electrical design of new electronic products during RFQ proposals through full production release
• Review customer and industry specifications to ensure compliance
• Follow program release timelines and support or conduct design reviews
• Create simple mechanical designs as needed
• Develop assembly documentation packages
• Support preproduction builds and transfers to production
• Perform system-level engineering and electrical problem analysis for automotive systems

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of EE experience in circuit board design, from concept to production
• Ability to create and interpret schematic and wiring drawings
• Ability to conduct failure analysis using standard laboratory equipment on electronic and vehicle-level assemblies
• Able to determine and convey Failure Analysis findings in written reports
• System integration knowledge
• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Preferred qualifications

• PCB layout with EMC/EMI experience a plus
• Schematic and PCB Library experience a plus
• Experience achieving ASPICE level 1 a plus
• Wireless Charging experience a plus
