Overview

An established manufacturing operation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanic) to support daily and non-routine maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. This role is essential to keeping production running smoothly, combining hands-on electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain critical systems, while also supporting new project installations and equipment start-ups.

What you'll do

  • Perform daily and non-routine maintenance on both electrical and mechanical plant equipment and systems
  • Assist equipment operators and mechanics with troubleshooting and operating plant equipment
  • Support project installations and equipment start-ups throughout the plant as needed
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings to install electrical equipment accordingly
  • Calibrate drives and equipment such as meters, temperature controllers, level controllers, and Servo controllers
  • Test and repair electrical systems and devices including motors, switches, and solenoids
  • Run conduit and pull wire as required
  • Perform welding and operate TIG/MIG/Plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and basic machining equipment
  • Carry out pipe fabrication and layout according to drawings
  • Understand, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, including pumps, seals (including mechanical seals), hydraulic-operated machines, gearboxes, valves, air compressors, boilers, and associated support equipment

Required qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical power concepts, including voltages and amps
  • Ability to read and apply schematic drawings for electrical installations
  • Experience calibrating meters, temperature controllers, level controllers, and Servo controllers
  • Experience testing and repairing electrical systems and devices such as motors, switches, and solenoids
  • Ability to run conduit and pull wire
  • Welding skills and experience operating TIG/MIG/Plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and basic machining tools
  • Experience with pipe fabrication and layout per drawings
  • Ability to understand and repair mechanical equipment including pumps, mechanical seals, hydraulic-operated machines, gearboxes, valves, air compressors, and boilers
  • Fundamental knowledge of lubricating oils and greases
