Overview
A respected global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Engineer to lead safety, environmental, and security initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities in the Eastern Tennessee region. What you'll do
- Lead Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs across multiple manufacturing facilities
- Develop and implement strategic EHSS initiatives that improve workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Manage departmental budgets and safety improvement projects
- Represent the facility on the Global EHSS Council
- Lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety observations, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Develop and deliver EHSS training programs for employees and leadership
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and other federal, state, and local regulations
- Manage Workers' Compensation processes and injury reduction initiatives
- Monitor key performance metrics and recommend process improvements
- Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (with degree)
- 8+ years of manufacturing EHS experience (without degree)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and environmental regulations
- Experience implementing or managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to influence all levels of the organization
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
Compensation and benefits
- Base Salary: Up to $93,000
