Overview
A community-focused healthcare organization is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join its health center in Long Island City, New York. This direct-hire role provides comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population spanning pediatric, adolescent, and adult care, working across a clinic setting and partner community sites. The physician will deliver full-scope family medicine, supervise advanced practice providers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to advance health equity and preventative care in the community.
What you'll do
- Provide primary medical care, comprehensive well-care examinations, physicals, and gynecological care across pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations
- Diagnose acute and chronic conditions, write prescriptions, and inform patients regarding prescribed treatment plans
- Direct the course of patient medical treatment, answer clinical inquiries, and manage electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in accordance with collaborative practice agreements, providing clinical guidance and technical support
- Coordinate care through specialist referrals, case management, on-site behavioral health, and community advocacy resources
- Participate in rotated shared call coverage, peer reviews, clinical guideline development, and quality improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine; active DEA registration
- Active, unrestricted New York State Medical License AND active status as a New York State Individual Medicaid Provider
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical Family Medicine experience required

- Bilingual fluency in Spanish or other languages is preferred
