Location: Waxahachie, TX | Schedule: Full-time, field-based (mobile store operation)

Overview

An established industrial hardware distributor with a long operating history is seeking a Route Sales Manager to operate a fully stocked mobile store serving customers across sectors such as transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment. This role brings industrial hardware and supplies directly to customers within a defined territory, combining direct sales with mobile store operations.

What you'll do

• Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calling on businesses near existing customers
• Make face-to-face calls on cold and warm sales prospects
• Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store
• Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of the mobile store
• Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls
• Maintain customer contact information, including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses, using company software

Required qualifications

• Must reside within the assigned territory
• Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle
• Must maintain a clean driving history
• Must have the physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong tenured work background with no job hopping; ideally no more than 3 companies over the past 10 years
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment

Preferred qualifications

• Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales
