Location: La Grande, OR (Rural Eastern Oregon) | Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent, Four 10-Hour Days, Day Shift | Compensation: $550K - $600K+ per year

Overview

A Critical Access Hospital in rural Eastern Oregon is growing its cardiovascular specialty team and seeking an innovative, energetic Pulmonologist to help shape the future of cardiac services in the community. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools including onsite Echo, EKG, and Stress testing, offering a physician the chance to build a meaningful practice while enjoying an exceptional outdoor lifestyle and strong work-life balance.

What you'll do

  • Provide high-quality outpatient and consultative inpatient cardiovascular care
  • Perform and interpret non-invasive studies including echocardiograms, stress tests, and EKG/Holter monitoring
  • Manage long-term cardiac conditions for the local population
  • Supervise stress testing in the co-located Respiratory Therapy department
  • Interpret cardiac imaging, ECGs, and device interrogation reports
  • Manage implantable cardiac devices
  • Perform minor procedures including implantation/removal of loop recorders, cardioversion, and TEE
  • Partner with primary care providers and the hospitalist team to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Help shape the future of cardiac services within a growing rural healthcare system

Required qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited school
  • Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship
  • Active, unrestricted State Medical License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality respiratory care in a community-oriented environment

Compensation and benefits
