Overview

An established manufacturer based in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a skilled Fabrication Welder to join its production team. This role is essential to maintaining quality and efficiency, as the welder will produce both large and small weldments to exact blueprint specifications while keeping the work area safe and organized.

What you'll do

• Weld a variety of large and small weldments to meet production requirements
• Lay out parts and fabricate as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts meet specifications
• Produce all parts in a timely manner to meet production schedules
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Pass a required weld test

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in welding in a Manufacturing environment
• Ability to read blueprints
• Proficient in measuring and calculating fractions and decimals
• Ability to use various measurement tools, including square, angle square, calipers, and tape measure
• Experience using wrenches, air tools, handheld grinders, and overhead cranes
• Ability to handle steel and perform frequent lifting
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 pounds
• Ability to stand or be on your feet all day
• Must pass a drug screening and background check

Compensation and benefits

• Pay range of $25-29/hour, commensurate with experience (approximately $25,000 to $29,000 annually)
