Overview

A global leader in foundry feeder systems is seeking a Territory Manager to drive technical sales of feeder and auxiliary products across the Midwest. This consultative role focuses on helping foundries improve yield, reduce scrap, and lower costs by recommending the right feeder solutions. Feeders (riser sleeves) act as molten-metal reservoirs that prevent shrinkage defects, resulting in stronger, higher-quality parts for customers in automotive, construction, and heavy equipment industries.

What you'll do

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to support feeder business and corporate goals
  • Monitor and evaluate competitor activities and products
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals
  • Collaborate with business development, marketing, sales, and management to meet customer needs and maximize profitability across product lines
  • Analyze sales reports and statistics to support direct sales and distributor efforts
  • Meet with key clients and assist sales representatives and distributors in maintaining relationships and closing deals
  • Prepare periodic sales reports covering sales volume, potential sales, and areas for client base expansion
  • Provide direct sales representation and support to promote feeder and auxiliary products
  • Plan, organize, assign, and coordinate work with direct sales representatives and distributors within the territory, including resolving complaints and issues
  • Develop and manage the sales budget and revenue/profit/growth targets for the feeder market in the assigned region
  • Act as liaison between Business Development, Feeder Specialists, technical field service, sales, distributors, customer service, manufacturing, and other departments to grow the feeder and broader foundry business
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Commercial Sales

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial sales within the foundry industry or a foundry supply company
  • Basic understanding of molding/core making, metal processes, foundry gating systems, and risering fundamentals
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check (minimal moving violations, accidents, license suspensions, etc.)
  • U.S. Passport required, or ability to obtain one, for travel to Mexico
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with feeder products and technology preferred
  • Experience with simulation software a plus
