Overview
An established accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Tax and Advisory Associate to support federal and state tax compliance and consulting work for a diverse client base. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior professionals on tax strategy while helping clients navigate complex regulatory requirements.
What you'll do
- Assist in the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Conduct in-depth research on tax issues and regulations to support consulting and advisory services
- Collaborate with senior team members to identify and implement tax-savings strategies for clients
- Participate in client meetings and communicate findings and recommendations effectively
- Support the training and development of junior staff through mentorship and guidance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
- Active CPA license
- At least 2 years of experience in tax preparation and advisory services
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office
