Overview
A Skilled Nursing Facility in Hornell, NY is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join its interdisciplinary care team. This is a full-time, direct hire role offering competitive compensation and a benefits package designed to support both career growth and personal well-being. The position is on-site in Hornell, NY (Finger Lakes Region), with a day shift schedule and PTO and holiday flexibility. Travelers are accepted.
What you'll do
- Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver engaging, effective speech, language, and swallowing therapy
- Coordinate audiometric screenings and referrals as needed
- Collaborate with care teams and families to maximize outcomes
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and Medicare documentation
- Attend care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
- Provide in-service education for staff and contribute to program improvement
- Uphold safety standards and deliver care with dignity and kindness
What you'll need
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MA or MS)
- Active NYS SLP license
- ASHA CCC certification
- Strong communication skills and professional maturity
- Team-oriented mindset and commitment to clinical excellence
