Location: North Hollywood, CA | Schedule: Full-time, field-based/on-site

Overview

An established, long-running industrial supply company that brings a fully stocked mobile store directly to customers across sectors such as transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, government, and heavy equipment is seeking a Route Sales Manager. In this role, you will operate your own mobile store to deliver industrial hardware solutions directly to businesses within a defined territory, playing a key part in the company's direct-to-customer sales model.

What you'll do

• Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calls on businesses near existing customers
• Make face-to-face calls on cold and warm sales prospects
• Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and your mobile store
• Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of your mobile store
• Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls
• Maintain customer contact information, including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses, using company software

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must reside within the assigned territory
• Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle
• Must maintain a clean driving history
• Physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis
• Strong tenured work background with no job hopping; ideally a maximum of 3 companies over the past 10 years
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment

Preferred qualifications

• Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales
