Location: La Grande, OR (Rural Eastern Oregon) | Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent, Four 10-Hour Days, Day Shift | Compensation: $350K - $385K+ per year

Overview

A growing Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center in rural Eastern Oregon is expanding its behavioral health and primary care services and seeks an innovative, energetic Psychiatrist who values professional autonomy and collaborative, patient-centered care. This role offers the opportunity to shape the region's mental health services while working alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals.

What you'll do

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and follow-up care for a diverse rural patient population
• Oversee pharmacological treatments and monitor patient progress to ensure therapeutic efficacy and safety
• Partner with Primary Care providers and Behavioral Health specialists to provide a "whole-patient" approach to health
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders)
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the behavioral health team, contributing to workforce training and development of clinical protocols
• Utilize Epic EMR for timely and accurate clinical charting
• Provide consultation within the Level IV Trauma Center environment when psychiatric expertise is required for acute patient stabilization
• Participate in community-based initiatives to reduce the stigma of mental health and improve access to care in the region

Required qualifications

• MD from an accredited school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Residency in Psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted State Medical License
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry
• Strong skills and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a community-oriented environment

Compensation and benefits

• Competitive total compensation opportunity up to $385k+
