Overview
An established hospital in Chicago is seeking an adult in-patient psychiatrist to join its clinical team. This role is central to providing continuous, high-quality psychiatric care to an active in-patient unit and supports the hospital's broader behavioral health services.
What you'll do
- Manage an adult caseload of 16 per day in an in-patient setting
- Conduct new admissions, follow-up evaluations, and medication checks
- Oversee patient discharges and coordinate aftercare planning
- Participate actively in treatment team meetings and collaborative care planning
- Work a Mon-Fri schedule with participation in a call rotation
Required qualifications
- Board certification/eligibility as a Psychiatrist with Adult In-Patient experience
- Ability to work fully on-site
- Must not require visa sponsorship (NO VISA candidates accepted)
- 2027 residency graduates will not be accepted through search firms
Compensation and benefits
- Compensation in line with MGMA benchmarks
- Base salary plus production bonus potential
