Overview
A progressive rural healthcare organization located in the picturesque Badlands of Eastern Montana is seeking both a Family Medicine Physician and a Pediatrician to join its clinic team. This is an opportunity to step into a turn-key practice with an established patient panel, work alongside experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, and make a meaningful impact in a close-knit community with a low cost of living.
What you'll do
- Provide professional medical services including planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the clinic
- Examine and treat chronic and acute episodic illnesses, minor injuries, accidents, and other injuries/illnesses
- Perform selected laboratory testing, write prescriptions, and perform office procedures within scope of expertise and available equipment
- Collaborate with a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in the care and treatment of patients
- Treat patients of all ages and perform clinic procedures and physical examinations related to licensing and specialty
- Examine new patients to orient them with services and identify patient needs and treatment plans
- Maintain appropriate business/medical records relating to all professional services rendered and/or recommended
- Complete documentation in patient records in a timely manner
- Prepare and maintain reports, claims, and correspondence necessary for professional services
- See newborns and attend deliveries as needed
- For the Pediatric role: care for infants, children, and adolescents, and play a role in newborn care and community wellness
- Provide outpatient care for chronic and acute pediatric conditions
- Attend newborn deliveries and provide infant care and discharge planning
- Participate in a rotating call schedule for pediatric and newborn coverage
- Collaborate with care teams and mentor mid-level providers
- Attend professional development programs and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives
- See approximately 16-18 patients a day
Required qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited MD or DO program
- Board Certified
- NRP Certification required
- Must be currently licensed in the state of Montana
- Must be willing to see pediatrics on the inpatient side as well
Preferred qualifications
- 2 years of experience preferred
Compensation and benefits
- Full time position, 4 and 1/2 day work week
- Compensation range of $260K-$280K
- Full benefits
- Relocation and sign-on package offered
- Provides housing for up to the first 6 months
