Maintenance Technician – Injection Molding

Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 2nd Shift (3 PM – 11 PM)
Overview
An established, innovative manufacturer of high-quality automotive interior and exterior components is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician. In this role, you'll help keep production equipment running safely and efficiently, ensuring manufacturing operations stay on track.
What you'll do
- Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on injection molding and related manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues quickly and effectively
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints (training available if needed)
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machine downtime
- Work closely with production teams to minimize equipment downtime
Required qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
- Experience with electrical and hydraulic systems required
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics (or willingness to learn)
- Understanding of preventative maintenance programs
- Self-motivated, reliable, and team-oriented
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in injection molding preferred
