Location: Massapequa, NY | Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, flexible hours, no call, on-site | Compensation: $300K-$500K per year

Overview

A well-established, physician-led outpatient medical group is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join its clinical team. The practice has built a strong reputation for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration, and this role is fully outpatient with no call responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality care
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations
• Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests
• Create and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care
• Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice
• Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines
• Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects
• Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives

Required qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Internal Medicine
• Licensed in New York State (or eligible for licensure)
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care
• Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice is required
• Entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus
