General Manager – Corrugated Box Packaging

Overview
An established corrugated box packaging manufacturer is seeking a General Manager to lead its Wisconsin production facility. This role carries full responsibility for the plant's performance and profitability, making it a critical leadership position within the organization's manufacturing operations.
What you'll do
- Drive plant profitability while ensuring all safety and quality requirements are met
- Develop and implement business plans that align with company goals and overall strategic vision
- Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives tied to the strategic business direction
- Build partnerships and collaborate with commercial/sales business partners to identify facility growth opportunities and maintain relationships with key accounts
- Oversee and drive improvements in facility production to meet short-term and long-term divisional objectives and achieve optimum efficiency
Required qualifications
- Box (cardboard) conversion experience with corrugator machine experience
- Paper to box conversion background required; candidates with experience limited to sheet plants, pulp plants, or other products such as plastics, container board, or particleboard need not apply
- 5+ years of progressive management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within an industry segment management role
- Experience with operational oversight, including budget and financial management
- Ability to acclimate and appropriately lead proper goal foundations, with the ability to lead by example
- Background in project management with proven success in KPI's such as production efficiencies, overhead management, output profitability, and safety & reliability
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering highly preferred
