Overview
An established manufacturer is seeking a Financial Accounting Supervisor to help ensure the timely, accurate production of financial statements while overseeing the Accounts Receivable function and general financial accounting operations. This role is key to supporting sound financial reporting and process discipline within the division.
What you'll do
- Support budgeting activities
- Coordinate month-end activities across departments to ensure proper cut-off procedures
- Prepare financial statements
- Conduct financial analysis
- Perform account reconciliations
- Assist with tax-related activities
- Participate in inventory counts
- Handle capital project accounting
- Assist with quarterly reviews and the year-end audit conducted by outside auditors
- Prioritize and manage competing responsibilities
- Supervise two personnel
- Report to the local divisional Controller
Required qualifications
- Experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Senior Financial Accountant who could supervise two accountants
Preferred qualifications
- Background in manufacturing is ideal, though candidates from banking, healthcare, or other industries will be considered
