Overview
A manufacturer of medical laboratory analyzers is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support and maintain automated robotic lab instrumentation, including hematology, chemistry, and coagulation analyzers, for customers throughout the greater Atlanta, GA area. This role is key to ensuring reliable equipment performance and strong customer relationships for laboratories relying on this instrumentation.
What you'll do
- Install, service, and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory analyzer instrumentation
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships in the field
- Coordinate problem resolution within the Field Support Group
- Maintain vehicle inventory, including tools and trunk stock (parts)
- Provide basic on-site training to customers on instrumentation operation
Required qualifications
- Certificate or AAS Degree in electronics or a related discipline
- Strong background in electronics & electro-mechanical troubleshooting
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a field service engineer
- Overnight travel will be required
- Must reside within the greater Atlanta, GA area, East/Southeast of Atlanta
- Not eligible for sponsorship; candidates must already have work authorization in the United States
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
Preferred qualifications
- Current or recent Field Service experience in the Medical Device industry preferred
- Experience servicing medical lab analyzers or other medical instrumentation is a plus
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary $65,000 - $82,000 depending on experience
- Overtime and performance bonus, estimated to add $4,000 - $8,000 annually (potentially more)
