Overview
A prominent large law firm is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join its expanding Construction Litigation Practice in Tampa. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level attorney to take on meaningful responsibility, work with a diverse client base, and gain hands-on experience in high-stakes construction disputes within a collaborative, client-focused environment.
What you'll do
- Represent clients in construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, defect claims, and delay-related litigation
- Draft sophisticated litigation-related documents with precision and strategic insight
- Manage discovery, including document review, depositions, and expert witness coordination
- Conduct legal research and case analysis to develop effective litigation strategies
- Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation
Required qualifications
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing
- 4–5 years of substantive general litigation experience, with a focus on construction litigation
- Demonstrated experience drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
- Experience handling discovery processes and depositions
- Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a client-service mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Compensation and benefits
- Expected annual salary range of $165,000-$180,000, as determined by experience and market factors
- Eligibility for profit-sharing and a discretionary bonus
