Location: Huntsville, AL | Schedule: Full-time, field-based (on-site within assigned territory)

Overview

An established industrial hardware distributor is seeking a Territory Manager to run a fully stocked mobile store serving businesses across transportation, aviation, facilities maintenance, aerospace, medical, military, marine, power generation, manufacturing, federal/local government, and heavy equipment sectors. This is a hands-on sales role bringing industrial hardware products and service directly to customers within a defined local territory.

What you'll do

• Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and calls on businesses near existing customers
• Make face-to-face calls on both cold and warm sales prospects
• Present products and services using sample boards, product demonstrations, and the mobile store
• Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and overall functionality of the mobile store vehicle
• Submit complete and accurate daily business reports covering sales orders and prospect calls
• Maintain accurate customer contact information—including notes, names, phone numbers, and addresses—using company software

Required qualifications

• Must reside within the assigned territory; relocation is not available
• Must be able to purchase or lease an approved mobile store vehicle
• Must maintain a clean driving history
• Must have the physical ability to kneel and bend to the floor on a regular basis
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong, tenured work history with no job hopping; ideally no more than 3 companies over the past 10 years
• Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with a proven history of goal attainment

Preferred qualifications

• Outside industrial sales experience, especially in route or industrial sales, is preferred
