Overview

A growing public accounting firm in the Phoenix area is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to advance toward partnership within a well-established firm, playing a key role in client service, staff development, and firm growth. Please note this is an in office position.

What you'll do

• Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Develop new client relationships
• Manage clients and their expectations
• Manage tax engagements and workload efficiently
• Advise clients on corporate, partnership, individual, and trust and estate tax matters
• Continue building client relationships through networking and business development activities
• Provide leadership and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Active CPA license
• 8 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting
• Proficient in dealing with the IRS
• Experience signing and e-filing forms 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 1040s
• Proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual taxation
• Proficient with QuickBooks
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple client engagements
• Creative thinker able to provide value and ideas to clients and the firm

Preferred qualifications

• Master's in tax preferred
• 2 years of supervising and training experience preferred
• Experience with UltraTax preferred but not required
